- Do you take walk-ins?
- Yes — walk-ins are always welcome at Wheaton Barber Shop. If a chair is open, we'll get you in the same day. That said, Saturdays and late afternoons fill up fast, so booking an appointment on Booksy is the best way to lock in your barber and skip the wait.
- How do I book an appointment?
- Book online through Booksy at booksy.com or use the Book Now button anywhere on this site. You can choose a specific barber, service, and time. Prefer to talk to a person? Call the shop at (630) 462-7900 and we'll put you on the schedule.
- Where is the shop and is there parking?
- We're at 27 W 460 Chicago Ave, Unit E, Winfield, IL 60190, in downtown Winfield's Market Square. There's a free public lot directly behind the building and additional street parking on Chicago Ave. Most clients park within a short walk of the front door.
- Is the shop kid-friendly?
- Absolutely. We cut kids' hair every day and keep pricing simple — $20 for any child 10 and under. Several of our barbers are parents themselves and know how to make a first haircut (or a squirmy toddler's tenth) go smoothly. Parents are welcome to sit with younger kids during the cut.
- What's your cancellation or no-show policy?
- Life happens — just give us a heads-up if you can't make it. The easiest way is to call the shop at (630) 462-7900 or cancel through the confirmation email Booksy sent you. Cancelling at least a few hours ahead lets us offer the slot to someone else on the waitlist.
- What forms of payment do you accept?
- We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, and contactless payments like Apple Pay and Google Pay. Tips can be added on any of these — or left in cash, whichever you prefer.
- What are your hours?
- Tuesday through Friday we're open 9am to 6pm, Saturday 8am to 3pm, and we're closed Sunday and Monday. Holiday hours occasionally shift — check Booksy or call the shop before stopping by on a holiday weekend.
- How long has Wheaton Barber Shop been around?
- Since 1925. The shop has had four owners and three locations over its first century, and we landed in downtown Winfield's Market Square where we've been ever since. We kept the Wheaton name because that's the reputation our regulars know.
